2SSR-FM joined Heathcote High School to celebrate their 50th Anniversary with a live broadcast from the Fair on Saturday, 6th March.
The inclement weather throughout the week came to a very welcome end just in time for the event and the hundreds of visitors were treated to a day of beautiful sunshine.
The Fair provided lots of fun for the whole family, with speciality foods, a display of the School's memorabilia, stalls, rides and entertainment from students.
2SSR-FM provided the soundtrack to the festivities with our talented presenters showcasing their programs throughout the day - with some presenters taking the opportunity to play music that took them back to their own High School days!
A highlight of the broadcast was a live interview by Trevor Davis with the School's Principal, Geoff Dodds, who discussed the highlights of the Fair and his proud association with the School

Our promotion team were busy with visitors collecting our 2SSR-FM Program Guides and our youngest listeners choosing their favourite coloured balloons.

Visitors were welcome to look inside our Van to observe how a live broadcast takes place. It was great to meet some of our listeners who complimented 2SSR-FM and their favourite programs.

Congratulations to Heathcote High School on this remarkable achievement and to the hardworking volunteers of 2SSR-FM who captured the event with great enthusiasm and enjoyment.
