Just click on the "SHARE YOUR COMMUNITY EVENT WITH US" icon on this page, and email us details of your next event or an overview of what YOUR community organisation does in our Great Shire and we'll endeavour to either put it here on our website or at least put the details LIVE ON AIR, to promote the organisation.

If you don't have email facilities, then don't hesitate to write or fax us your information. Our postal address and fax number are located at the bottom of this page.

Survivors Australia is aiming to raise awareness in the community so that the plight of survivors of childhood abuse is better understood and to remove the stigma attached to the lifelong trauma survivors endure.

In order to raise funds for Survivors Australia, we will be holding a Trivia Night on Saturday 24th March 2012, at Gymea Tradies, and we were hoping to make this fundraising event a huge success and a night to remember.

We work hard to establish support networks by assisting Survivors in Court Proceedings, lobbying Parliament, running Workshops, providing resources and through our newest venture - Project KidSafe, which is designed to empower, enlighten and protect Australian kids in a fun, but educational format. Keeping our kids safe and teaching them confidence, self-assertiveness, and acceptable adult behaviours. Project Kid Safe encourages kids to speak out and speak up when it comes to their own safety - which will aid in the reduction of child abuse in our community.

The hidden truth is that there are more survivors of child sexual abuse in the world than anyone cares to admit. It is the worst affliction to the human race. 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys will become victims of child abuse before they reach the age of 16. People who are abused during childhood can often suffer from psychological difficulties later in life.

We desperately need help to raise funds, so that we can continue to heal the wounded, protect the vulnerable & bring offenders to justice.

For further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

We thank you for any support you may be able to provide.

Thanks & Kind Regards,
