Smooth Jazz attracts many prominent musicians from around the world such as George Benson; The Rippingtons; Randy Crawford; Al Jarreau; Kirk Whalum; Norman Brown; Michael Franks; Dave Koz; Jeff Lorber; Gregg Karukas; Richard Elliot; Larry Carlton; Anita Baker; Luther Vandross and Patti Austin, who are well known in the smooth jazz genre.
Radio 2SSR promotes these and many other overseas and Australian artists, of whom some Australians may not have heard. Indeed, Sunday at 6pm is the only Smooth Jazz radio programme in southern Sydney.
