Pole dancers make it into national finals

TWO Sutherland Shire girls have made it to the Miss Pole Dance Australia finals.

Jedda Jordan, 28, of Jannali, and Amber Ray, 25, of Gymea Bay, will compete against 14 other pole dancers on Saturday, November 10 at the Enmore Theatre.

Miss Ray, who was crowned the Miss Pole Dance NSW champion just a month ago, said Australia had some of the best dancers in the world.

Miss Jordan, who teaches at Bobbi’s Pole Studio in Miranda, said the activity had become an increasingly popular form of fitness among local women.

Each competitor choreographs their own routine in the national final, combining dance and gymnastics.

The winner of the Miss Pole Dance Australia will go on to compete in the world championships next year.
