On David Roman’s Mystery Train on Tuesday 30th August, John Gauchi, leader and main man of Johnny G and the E-Types will be his special in studio guest from 8.30pm.
John’s band, “Johnny G and the E-Types” are Sydney’s pre-eminent Stax Revue/Soul/RnB band who are doing some special showcase gigs celebrating the 75th Birthday of Stax record legend Otis Redding.
Stax records in Memphis was instrumental in bringing artists such as Otis Redding, Booker T and the MG’s, Rufus Thomas and Wilson Pickett to the world’s attention.
John will be talking about the band’s love of Stax music, his music career and very importantly, giving away 2 tickets to the band’s showcase gig at the Brass Monkey on September 3.
