Iain Winton on The Convo

Tuesday 7th February on The Convo, David Tunnicliffe hosts local independent author Iain Winton.

Iain will be sharing recollections of his childhood growing up in the streets of Glasgow before migrating to Australia with his parents and siblings as a teenager in 1959.

He spent most of his working life in local government, before eventually becoming the Olympic Coordinator for the city of Blacktown.

Iain, has lived in the Sutherland Shire with his wife for over forty years, self-published two books of poetry, titled ‘Iain with two ‘I’s’ in 2008 and ‘My Cronulla’ in 2019. In his latest book, ‘The Last of the Lucky Childhood’s, Iain details his childhood growing up in Glasgow – back when kids knew their place, got up to all kinds of mischief, and enjoyed life to the fullest.
