Join Johnny Ngatai every Saturday between 5-7pm as he brings you all of your favourite Old School and Contemporary R&B, Reggae, Soul and Hip Hop Jams from 90s to Now.

Whether you’re heading out on the town or staying in, Saturday Jams is the program for you to set that perfect vibe.

Each week we feature a different Aussie Artist where you’ll hear a little bit about them accompanied by two of their songs on Aussie Jams.

We wrap the program with a 2SSR 30 minute music marathon packed full of party Bangers to get you in the mood for your Saturday night.

Set that Vibe lift reminder for 5pm Saturday.

John Nagtai

I started my broadcasting journey during Covid.

My love and fascination for radio quickly turned into a passion after I completed a Radio Fundamentals Course during lockdown.

I’m a music lover and as my friends say I love the sound of my own voice so it was a no brainer for me to give broadcasting a go.

Shortly after the world started to re-open I was lucky enough to be able to join the 2SSR family. I do a number of things for the station but hosting my own program is a weekly highlight.

I love all Genres of music which you’ll find by listening to both of my programs Saturday Jams and Saturday Night Party Mix.

I am of New Zealand Maori heritage so you’ll also catch me helping out every Sunday on the Maori Voice. I enjoy learning more about and sharing my culture with the people of the Sutherland Shire.
