Sutherland Shire Council, in partnership with the National parks and wildlife service, has recently completed a bush regeneration project in the Bundeena Creek Wetland, also known as Yarmouth Swamp.

The 12-month bush regeneration project in the wetland allowed the removal of more that 80 cubic metres of weeds from the four-hectare site.

The wetland is an important habitat for the endangered Sydney freshwater wetland and swamp sclerphyll forest communities, and had become degraded from urban storm water run off and the proliferation of weeds.
