Scottish folk singer and concertina player Alistair Brown spoke with David Tunnicliffe on The Convo about what makes folk music special.

Alistair keeps the ancient storytelling traditions alive as he tours the world delighting audiences with his music and knowledge.

We were privileged to host Alistair, fresh from his gig at Sutherland Acoustic Club, and to hear tales of his days in folk clubs with the likes of Billy Connolly, Robin Williamson, Norma Waterson and Martin Carthy.

Lose yourself in Alistair’s profound understanding of the musical tradition, hear some entertaining anecdotes, plus Alistair plays live in the 2SSR studio.
