It is with deep sadness I inform our members and friends that our esteemed colleague and presenter George Mihalos passed away peacefully in his sleep early Monday morning 4th February after a battle with cancer.
George joined 2SSR in 1997 and brought to us his
humor
, extensive talent, loyalty, comradery and total dedication. George presented a weekly program ‘Whatever’ and is the voice behind many sweepers, jingles and promos for the station. George was our official Production Officer for 2SSR.
Our thoughts and condolences are extended to his family and friends.
George’s funeral will be held on Saturday 9th February at The Resurrection of Christ Greek Orthodox Church Kogarah at a time to be confirmed.
George will be sadly missed by us all but his voice and spirit lives on at 2SSR and in our memories always.
