AN ENGADINE man, 20, allegedly caught riding an unregistered motorbike on a footpath, not wearing a helmet and with a suspended P-plate licence, engaged police in a short chase last Monday.
Police allege they tried to stop the man on Fairview Avenue, Engadine but he sped off along a footpath.
There were a number of children playing in the street at the time of the pursuit, police said.
The man was arrested on Woronora Road and taken to Sutherland police station.
He was charged with a number of offences including driving recklessly/furiously or in a dangerous manner, using an unregistered vehicle, and not wearing a helmet.
