To commemorate the Centenary of Anzac this year, the Federal government, together with Sutherland Shire Council, are organising a community commemorations service.
As part of the commemorations, school students, local dignitaries and members of the public will have an opportunity to place a crocheted or knitted poppy at a memorial in front of the stage.
They need 431 poppies and can supply yarn for anyone who is interested.
