Produce a limited edition print in just 2 days using a friendly approach for fine art printmaking.
Working from a simple line drawing, develop it through the innovative process of aluminium etching, using intaglio techniques such as hard ground and tone. Drypoint etching on PVC will also be introduced to achieve a soft line and tone.
Students will print a small edition of their image or experiment with the application of Chine Collee, using rice paper as a collage medium, creating stunning variations of colour and texture to enhance their line etching as a fine art print.
Aluminium etching is a safe alternative to traditional etching using aluminium plates and copper sulphate.
