This Sunday from 7pm listen out for the Orange Peelers as they chat with Paralympic hopeful and local Shannon Bates. Shannon is looking to compete in the sport of power lifting at next years commonwealth games and then at the Paralympics in Brazil in 2016.

Shannon was born with Spina Bifida but has not let this disease overcome him in his pursuits.

Not only is Shannon an accomplished athlete but he out there helping other athletes with disabilities to pursue their sporting dreams.
