Meet the Author

Judy Nunn has sold over one million books worldwide.

Elianne, her 12th novel, is a sweeping story of wealth, power, privilege and betrayal, set on a grand sugar cane plantation in Queensland.

Everyone is invited to hear bestselling and much loved Australian author, Judy Nunn speak about her latest novel, Elianne.

Set in the southern cane fields of Queensland near Bundaberg, the grand sugar cane plantation ‘Elianne’ has been so named by Big Jim Durham as a tribute to the woman he loves – Elianne Desmarais. It is a story of wealth, power, privilege and betrayal. Over ensuing generations the great love shared between Ellie and Big Jim has become the stuff of family folklore, until their great-granddaughter Kate discovers an unwelcome truth that all was not as it seemed…

Judy Nunn’s career has been long, illustrious and multifaceted. After combining her internationally successful acting career with scriptwriting for television and radio, Judy decided in the 90s to turn her hand to prose.  She has written twelve novels, developing a love of writing Australian historically-based fiction in the process. Her fame as a novelist has spread rapidly throughout Europe where she is published in English, German, French, Dutch, Czech and Spanish.

Books will be available for purchase and signing on the night.
