I’ve been interested in jazz most of my life. Coming from classical music parents I found a freedom in jazz I couldn’t find elsewhere. Even Chopin said in the early 1700s “real music exisits beyond the boundaries of the page”. So jazz has been around for a long, long time. Now I don’t like trad jazz or free jazz – I just don’t get it. Not only that, there is so much jazz around that pleases the ear and takes you away from the everyday.
