MORE than 7000 people turned out to the 28th Leader Home Show on the weekend for helpful home-renovating tips and ideas.

The two-day event, which was held at Sutherland Basketball Stadium, featured more than 80 exhibitors showcasing cost-effective products and services including electrical appliances, home furniture, landscaping, decking and solar.

The home show featured seminars, stage demonstrations and food stalls.

Homeowners also had the opportunity to ask experts questions about renovating, and to seek advice on their finances and ideas to make their home more environmentally friendly.

More than $9000 worth of prizes were given away over the two days.
