A major upgrade of the children’s playground in Burnum Burnum Sanctuary, Woronora is close to completion.

Sutherland Shire Council is renewing the playground, which was installed 10 years ago.

The council says the project will provide “a high quality district facility that offers excellent and long term value for families with children aged primarily from 2 – 10 years of age”.

Features include new playground equipment with synthetic turf soft fall, cycle path, landscaping, shade sails, more seating and a water bottle refill station.

The council says play equipment will include “dynamic and multi play items such as trampolines, accessible carousel, climbing equipment and a variety of swings and slides”.
